Tag 1: Ankunft in Kairo

Welcome to the land of pharaohs! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a Memphis Tours representative meets you before immigration to help obtain your entry visa and breeze you through customs. Step outside into the bustling streets of Cairo, and relax as a private driver whisks you to your boutique hotel in the heart of Old Islamic Cairo. Settle in and soak up the atmosphere – you’re surrounded by historic architecture and the sounds of a city that never sleeps. Tonight is free to rest after your flight. (Get a good night’s sleep – your Egyptian Adventure is about to begin in earnest tomorrow!)

Day 2: Pyramids of Giza & Sakkara

Nach einem köstlichen, herzhaften ägyptischen Frühstück bringt Sie Ihr persönlicher Reiseleiter zum Gizeh-Plateau. Dort beginnt Ihre Reise mit dem Bestaunen eines der Sieben Weltwunder, den Pyramiden von Gizeh. Spazieren Sie über das Plateau und besuchen Sie die berühmte Sphinx und den Taltempel. Im Anschluss an die Pyramidenbesichtigung genießen Sie ein Mittagessen in einem authentischen ägyptischen Restaurant und fahren dann weiter in den Stadtteil Sakkara. Day 3: GEM

Nach dem Frühstück ist der erste Halt das Neue Große Ägyptische Museum – Ägyptens neuestes Wahrzeichen, nur zwei Kilometer von den Pyramiden entfernt. Es präsentiert über 100.000 Artefakte aus 5.000 Jahren und zeigt erstmals die vollständige Tutanchamun-Sammlung. Anschließend genießen Sie ein Mittagessen in einem authentischen ägyptischen Restaurant.

Day 4: Fly to Luxor – Karnak & Luxor Temples

Check out after breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. On arrival, meet your local guide and visit:

The vast Karnak Temple Complex is one of the largest religious sites in the world.
Luxor Temple, connected to Karnak by the ancient Avenue of Sphinxes, and the Obelisk of Ramses II.
After touring, check into your Luxor hotel. This evening, you can relax or join an optional Sound & Light Show at Karnak (extra cost).

Day 5: Luxor West Bank – Dahabiya Embarkation at Esna

After breakfast, you can:

Then explore the Luxor West Bank:

Valley of the Kings (ticket includes 3 tombs; special tombs like Tutankhamun, Seti I and Ramses IV require an extra ticket).

After the tour, transfer to Esna and board your Dahabiya Nuun or Nuut. Settle into your cabin and start your Nile journey, sailing south as you enjoy fresh lunch and later dinner on board.

Stop at El Kab village, visiting El Kab Temple and glimpsing mud-brick houses and everyday village life.
Sail on to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples.
Travel by horse-drawn carriage to and from the temple, passing fields, markets, and local life.
Return to the boat and continue sailing, passing lush landscapes dotted with palm trees. Anchor near Sheikh Rehan Island for a relaxed dinner on board.

Day 7: Gebel Silsela & Nile Islands

Day 8: Kom Ombo Temple – Sail to Aswan

Return to the Dahabiya and continue sailing toward Aswan, with lunch and dinner served on board as you watch life unfold on the riverbanks.

Day 9: Disembark in Aswan – Philae Temple – Fly Back to Cairo

Visit the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and Hathor, set on an island in the Nile—one of Upper Egypt’s most atmospheric sites.
After your visit, your representative will escort you to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel for your final night in Egypt.
