Day 1 — Journey to the Mediterranean: Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar & Qaitbay Citadel
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Cairo to Alexandria, where the shifting landscapes—from desert terrains to coastal views—announce your arrival in Egypt’s historic port city.

A masterpiece hidden beneath the city, these catacombs form one of the most extraordinary burial complexes in the world. Carved deep into the bedrock, they blend Pharaonic tradition, Greek influence, and Roman architecture into a single breathtaking funerary masterpiece.
You will descend through winding corridors, marvel at ancient carvings, and learn the stories of the noble families buried here.
Stand before Alexandria’s most impressive surviving Roman monument. This towering 25-meter column, carved from a single block of granite, is a tribute to Emperor Diocletian.
