In Cairo, your adventure begins with visits to the legendary Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum. You’ll then travel from Cairo to Aswan aboard an overnight sleeper train, where you’ll discover the impressive Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Aswan High Dam.
Your journey continues with a five-star Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, featuring fascinating stops at Kom Ombo Temple, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, and the renowned Valley of the Kings.
Upon reaching Luxor, your guided sightseeing tour includes the magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple, allowing you to experience the highlights of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Note: Egyptian trains are designed and maintained according to standards of quality determined by the Egyptian Railway Authority. The sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan takes about 14 hours, and the journey from Luxor to Cairo takes about 11 hours. To reduce time spent traveling, you can upgrade your trip package for about $295 per person to travel by domestic flight instead (about 1.5 hours).

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo - Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs
Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (arrival procedures) and will then escort you to your hotel in Cairo in an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At the hotel, your tour manager will assist you with a smooth check-in and review your budget vacation itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.
Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: Pyramids & GEM
After enjoying a delicious wholesome breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide will take you to the Giza Plateau to start your journey by marveling at one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza. Visit the iconic Sphinx and Valley Temple. After your pyramid visit, you’ll go for lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant and then head over to the New Grand Egyptian Museum—Egypt’s newest landmark, just two kilometers from the pyramids and one of the world’s largest and most advanced archaeological museums. The GEM houses over 100,000 artifacts spanning 5,000 years, including the complete Tutankhamun collection displayed together for the first time, with modern design, interactive exhibits, and breathtaking views of the Giza Plateau. Later, you will be transferred to the Giza train station to catch the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.

Day 3: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours
Upon your arrival at the Aswan train station, you will be met and assisted by a Hightours representative, who will then transfer you to your Nile cruise ship. Enjoy lunch on board, after which you will be guided to visit the majestic Philae temple of devotion to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor, and the massive Unfinished Obelisk, still resting on its side in the stone quarries of ancient Egypt. Then, back to the cruise ship with dinner on board.

Day 4: Kom Ombo
After breakfast on board, you’ll sail to Kom Ombo, where you’ll encounter the twin Temple of Kom Ombo, where you’ll learn about the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus, whose monuments decorate each half of the temple. You’ll have your lunch back on board the ship and sail on to Edfu and have a dinner on board as well.

Day 5: Luxor Nile Cruise Tours
After breakfast on board your Nile cruise ship, you will visit Horus Temple in Edfu before sailing to Luxor with lunch on board the ship. You will be transferred back to the Nile cruise ship for dinner and Belly dance show on board.

Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise - Train to Cairo
In the early morning, enjoy a relaxed breakfast on board. Disembarkation after breakfast and enjoy a wonderful tour to visit East Bank of the Nile in Luxor to the Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple followed by a visit to the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Later, you’ll head to the Luxor train station to catch the sleeper train back to Cairo. Dinner will be served on board the train.

Day 7: Cairo Optional Excursions
Breakfast aboard the sleeper train before arriving at the Giza train station, where you will be met and assisted by a Hight Tours representative who will transfer you to your hotel for some leisure time (you will check into your room as early as possible). There are some optional excursions available in Cairo: you may wish to visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara and Hightours.

Day 8: Cairo - Fly Back Home
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, with some free time before your flight. After check out, you’ll be escorted to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
