day 4 . abu simbel tour

Following a satisfying breakfast at your hotel, your tour manager will pick you up to join a small group aboard a contemporary, air-conditioned coach bound for the awe-inspiring Temples of Abu Simbel. Built by Ramesses II, these twin architectural wonders are celebrated as quintessential masterpieces of ancient Egypt, perfectly embodying the splendor and majesty of the New Kingdom era.

To protect these historic monuments from the rising waters caused by the construction of the Aswan Dam, a remarkable joint rescue mission was successfully carried out by the Egyptian government and UNESCO.

Dedicated to the supreme deities Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and Ramesses II himself, the grand temple of Ramesses II is frequently referred to as his Sun Temple. Meanwhile, the temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari honors the goddess Hathor, the consort of the Sun God; together, these structures symbolically unite Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the divine solar deities into a single harmonious entity.

Upon concluding this unforgettable excursion, you will be transferred to embark on your luxurious floating hotel, the Salacia Nile Cruise, anchored in Aswan.
